NotifyMe - Privacy Policy

In short: NotifyMe needs profile data, contacts or recipients you provide, precise location, and notification delivery data to run its core features. We do not sell personal data. If you want to request deletion or ask a privacy question, contact privacy@notifyme.it.com.

2. Data we collect

3. How we use data

To create and manage your account and profile.
To store your contacts, recipients, alert presets, and alert history.
To monitor configured locations and trigger push notifications or message delivery.
To send phone verification codes and, where needed, SMS delivery fallback.
To provide map search and map display features.
To secure the service, investigate misuse, and keep the app working.

If a message is delivered by SMS fallback, the SMS may include your phone number, your message text, and a location or maps link needed for the feature to work.

4. Sharing and service providers

We share data only as needed to operate NotifyMe, for example with:

Mapping and geocoding providers, such as Mapbox, to display maps and search locations.
Push notification providers, such as Firebase Cloud Messaging and Apple Push Notification service, to deliver alerts.
SMS providers, such as Twilio, to send verification codes or SMS fallback messages where enabled.
Hosting, infrastructure, and security providers that help us run the service.
Authorities or courts when disclosure is legally required.

We do not sell personal data.

5. Legal bases and permissions

Depending on where you live, we process data because it is necessary to provide the service you ask for, because we have legitimate interests in securing and improving the service, because you give permission for certain device features, or because the law requires us to do so.

You can revoke app permissions in your device settings at any time, but important features such as alert preset monitoring, push alerts, or code auto-fill may stop working.

6. Retention

Account, profile, contacts, alert presets, and alert records are kept while your account remains active, unless you delete them earlier where the app allows it.
Short-lived verification data is retained only for as long as needed to verify a code, prevent abuse, and enforce rate limits.
Technical logs, delivery records, and backups may be kept for a limited period where needed for security, troubleshooting, fraud prevention, or legal compliance.

7. Your choices and rights

You can review and update some profile data inside the app. You may also request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of your data by emailing privacy@notifyme.it.com. We may ask you to verify your identity before completing a request.

8. International transfers

Some service providers may process data in countries other than your own. When that happens, we rely on applicable contractual, technical, and organizational safeguards required by law.

9. Children

NotifyMe is not intended for children under 13, or under the minimum age required by local law. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
