NotifyMe - Terms of Service

In short: NotifyMe lets you create location-based alert presets, manage contacts, and send arrival or proximity alerts. By using the app, you agree to use it lawfully, respect other people's data, and understand that some features depend on location, notifications, maps, and message delivery services.

1. The service

NotifyMe is a mobile application that helps users create alert presets tied to a map location, choose recipients, and send alerts when a configured location event happens. Features may vary by platform, device, permissions, and network availability.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You may use NotifyMe only if you are legally allowed to enter into these terms in your jurisdiction. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, for keeping access to your device secure, and for activity that happens through your account or verified phone number.

3. Permissions and device features

NotifyMe relies on location access, including background location where you enable it, to detect alert preset events.
The app uses notification permissions and device tokens to deliver push notifications.
On supported devices, the app may request SMS access only to help auto-fill verification codes.
If you deny or revoke required permissions, some features may stop working or work only partially.

4. Contacts, recipients, and alerts

If you add contacts, recipients, phone numbers, email addresses, message text, or location-based alert presets, you represent that you have the right to use that information and to ask NotifyMe to deliver messages or alerts related to it.

If a recipient is not reachable through in-app push delivery, NotifyMe may use SMS delivery where supported. In that case, your message may include your phone number, the message text, and a map or location link needed for the feature to work.

You must not use NotifyMe to monitor, harass, spam, stalk, or otherwise misuse another person's data or location.

5. Acceptable use

Do not use the service for unlawful, abusive, deceptive, or harmful conduct.
Do not interfere with the service, attempt unauthorized access, scrape data, or reverse engineer the app except where the law clearly allows it.
Do not upload or send malware, fraudulent content, or material that infringes third-party rights.
Do not use the app while driving or in situations where doing so would be unsafe.

6. Third-party services

NotifyMe depends on third-party services for some functionality, including mapping and search services, push notification providers, SMS delivery providers, hosting infrastructure, and mobile platform services. Those providers operate under their own terms and privacy practices, and some parts of NotifyMe will not work without them.

7. Availability and changes

We may update, improve, suspend, or remove parts of NotifyMe at any time. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, message delivery timing, map accuracy, or compatibility with every device, operating system, or network.

8. Intellectual property and your content

NotifyMe and its software, branding, and service materials remain our property or the property of our licensors. You keep ownership of the information and content you submit, but you grant us the limited rights needed to host, process, transmit, and display that content solely to operate the service for you.

9. Suspension, termination, and deletion

We may suspend or stop access to NotifyMe if you violate these terms, misuse the service, or create risk for other users or the platform. You may stop using the app at any time and may request account deletion as described in the Privacy Policy.

10. Disclaimers

NotifyMe is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. It is not an emergency service and must not be relied on for emergency dispatch, personal safety monitoring, medical response, or guaranteed real-time location tracking.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, lost profits, or loss caused by delayed or failed delivery, unavailable providers, inaccurate location data, or misuse by other users. If liability cannot be excluded, our total liability will be limited to the amount you paid us for the service during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or zero if you used only free features. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot be waived under applicable consumer law.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page. If you continue using NotifyMe after the updated terms become effective, you agree to the revised version.
